Opening of American Corner in Port Gentil

The Ambassador of the United States of America, Eunice S. Reddick, officially opened the first American Corner in Gabon at the Municipal Library in Port Gentil on Friday, March 6, 2009.  Also present at the ceremony were the mayor of Port Gentil, André Jules Ndjambé, and the governor of the Ogooué Maritime province, Jean-Marie Béka B’Obame, as well as representatives of American businesses located in Gabon, foreign diplomats, students, and representatives of civil society.
